I have a blind peahen that I have in small cage,so she can find her water and food.The problem is she doesn't use her nails and they are long and curled,but I am afraid of cutting them to short,any blood will draw the ants to her.Has anyone trimmed their peafowl's nails before and could you advise me.
Sorry for all the scammers on this forum,they have took over.Hopefully someone will see this bird problem I have.

You can take tiny nips with human toe nail clippers or if you wish to use extra care you can use human nail file or emory board to slowly do the job. There is a device with brand name Pedi Paws that I used on a poor rooster who has spurs that do a U turn and grow toward his own legs.
