I called CTV, and YTV within the past week and found out the following information for all us Canadian fans.

1) Canadian TV stations have been dealing directly with the WB on a contractual basis (# of eps).

2) In order to broadcast new episodes, CTV an YTV must negotiate a new contract with UPN.

3) Neither station knows if they will be showing BTVS next year.

The distinct impression I got from talking to both stations was that they are as much in the dark about this move to UPN as the rest of us. CTV told me they are still in contact with the WB as they are still bound by contract to provide reruns for the rest of the summer. I personally will start worrying about where I'll get my BTVS fix some time closer to September. Remeber this whole move and the subsequent shenanigans have only been going on for 7 days. I honestly doubt that the UPN even really knows whats going on.
