Subject: David i disagree with the 7000 day year

David,
I see that you believe in God but i dont see how creation proves evolution. I also dont see how you interpet a day in the Bible as 7000 years. As i gather information about your view of evolution, you srtike me as a theistic evolutionist. If you beleive in God(of the Bible)then you logically can not beleive in evolution. Jesus came to save us from sin, and the wages of sin is death. If death has always been apart of life(survial of the fittest) then what did Jesus come to save us from? See Jesus came to give us life and safe us from death thats why thiestic evolution is illogical. Also if death has been apart of life from the begining you will contradict the Bible because it says that death came through one mans sin(Adam) and was conquered by ones man death(Jesus) that was his whole piont in dieing for us. Also about your 7 days equaling 7000 years. No where in the Bible is this supported. The hebrew word used in Genesis is "yom" this means a period of short time. If God had wanted to convey a long period of time he would of used another hebrew word i dont have my notes or i could tell you what they were. Also when God gave the ten commandments to Moses. The fourth commandment keep the Sabbath holy. It says in Exodus 20:11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seveth day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Clearly he is talking about creation here and that it was 7 legitmate days. Also God describes the day after he created it. He says that there was morning and there was evening and then what day it was. How else would you logically describe a day? This is clearly describing a day and I dont see how get around scripture? My case and piont is that if you beleive in God you cant beleive in evolution.
