I'm right here, *he murmurs, glancing around. He makes himself rip his eyes from Fire and instead stares hard at the spot where Whisper had stood. He feels as if a battle is taking place in his heart. He tosses his handsome head as the wind ripples through his long, silky mane and tail, streaming them behind him.* Where the heck are Whisper and Fable? *he says.* Didn't Fable say he'd post on Monday? *His eyes long to flick back--only for a moment!--to the beautiful mare beside him, but he forces them to stay fixed on a rock sticking out of the cold, hard earth. A chill November wind rustles and swishes icily through the willow tendrils, telling of the coming Winter.*
