Subject: (-SWEARS- It DELETED my LOOOOONG post and wouldn't let me undo! -does horrible things to her computer-) Actually, Kate, there's no embarrassment involved because all I did was express my opinions in a calm and respectful manner, and then DaWn did the same. So there's no reason for embarrassment, I shouldn't think. :} |

-chuckles- Well, I'm glad to hear Raistlin's personality, um.... -attempts to think of a polite and diplomatic way to express her opinions- 'quirks' don't stem from an equally... 'quirky' player, but from thoughtful and creative RPing. Once I know that, I don't mind how a character acts- so long as I know it is the character, not the player, which I do now. So now, though I can't control Bob's feelings and he still detests Raistlin, I'm feeling a leetle more amiable t'ward the Shadow in question. ;} -chuckles again-
-tries to remember what else she wrote in the original message- HmmmMmmmMmmMmmmm.... I think I basically said I know why Bob and Raistlin aren't exactly... the best of friends; they're polar opposites. Bob is intense in everything he does, passionate, self-sacrificing, fanatically cause-fixated, fiercely loyal to his family, for whom he would die willingly, quiet and withdrawn but able to make his voice heard when he must, and opinionated when he does, as well as oddly naive despite his mistrustfully cynical approach to life, and extraordinarily idealistic. Raistlin represents to Bob a lot of what he hates, and most of what he is trying to fight to destroy- his ideal world that he wants to create is one where all dragons can live in relative peace and respect, making fighting a rarety. He believes that dragons, being such an incredibly physically and mentally powerful species (in his opinion, the most so in the world), they have a kind of destiny, almost a duty, to create an ideal society as the model for all other sentient beings. To tell the truth, he's not really sure quite what he thinks, but that's the general gist of it. -grins- Now do you see why he hates Raistlin, even leaving aside the specific things the latter has done that somewhat displeased the little purple prince?
-shudders- Uugh, PMS SUCKS. I wish your boyfriend swift return, and bid you take some painkillers! :}
