Mighty chief,
We have been having trouble with certain chatters who get downright rude when they are banned from the channel. As a rule, I observe the activity in the channel and issue warnings not unless the bot gets it first, then that is beyond my reach. But I have been experiencing problems with chatters who have become banned because of their own doings, and they often come up to me in the form of a private message and beg for me to lift the ban, and if I say no, they become irate and start chatting in a sexual manner, or else become extremely rude.
So how are to deal with this? Do you think it is only fair that we keep them away from the channel for an extended period of time, in order to teach them a lesson? Or should we just permanently ban them in order to keep the channel the way it should be - peaceful and orderly? I would appreciate your views on this.
