I'll be the first one to take advantage of this priviledge of voicing out my concerns here. I am a "resident" of #bohol channel. I feel so at home in this channel that joining other channels seem to be strange for me to do. I have been coming to this channel since 1996, when only 3-10 people used to log on to this channel. Now, there are already a lot of us and it is a very nice thing to have a lot of #bohol channel regulars already. However, I am just wondering why the "bots" just automatically "kick", "ban" chatters who are even innocent of what they have done. I could no longer understand! I thought chatters are given a warning or two before he gets banned from joining the channel. And please, list down specifically in the channel rules as to the EXACT "words" and "phrase" which the bots will automatically disallow. Like one time, i was talking with someone whom i told that " i am always here in #bohol because I love it here". To my surprise, I was kicked and later on eventually banned (after I tried to re-join)! Why? because I was "inviting" daw. WEIRD? Was I really inviting? Please, review your script and make the people in #bohol channel feel really at home always. But of course, chatters who really need to be discipline must be disciplined too. The difficulty lies in the dual language used in the channel. Sa akong experience earlier tonight , I was kick and later banned from the channel because I was asking (in private ha) one of the OPS particularly BOHOLANA why wala ma-kick ang usa ka-chatter with the nick HARDCORE when in fact ga-balik balik man siya ug use sa words such as BLOWJOB ang GAY. ...(o basin ma-kick na sad ko ani?) This OP kicked and banned me unjustly! .. or maybe OK ra ni nga words sa channel and ang BAYOT nga word dili? DUH! [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

We are trying to release words that are no longer offensive and gathering new words that are abusive in the channel. Different words get different meanings on different occasions, so please bear with the bots in the channel. We will try to minimize errors of detection in the channel to assure the IRC users that #Bohol is trying its best to be clean but at the same time not too strict. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
