She looks up from where she was engaged in yet another game of 'Keep Away' with Beauty, curious dark eyes watching Taunia as she approaches Zaniel and the other twins she did not know. She is momentarily distracted as the orb is swiped away by one large golden-red paw, but she keeps one ear turned towards the small group of Qynes, tuned into the greetings. When she has the sphere firmly trapped between both clawed hands, she raises her head again, and, on impulse, calls, "And I'm Maeko!" Mentally chiding herself for butting in like that, and wondering at her sudden confidence, she returns her thoughts to 'Beauty', who was currently probing Maeko's hands gently with one large paw, trying to get at the ball ensnared within them. Laughing, Maeko returns to the game, and became so oblivious to the world surrounding them that she was startled when she felt Zaniel's light touch on her arm, and her whispered, "Good Luck." She looked up at Zaniel, dark eyes seeking her friend's, a grateful expression on her tanned face. "Thanks, Zaniel," She finally replies. She watches silently as 'Beauty' bats Zaniel's hand, mischievously asking to play. She becomes aware of two battling emotions within her; she was practically counting the seconds until Bonding, and her excitement was growing with each passing moment, yet so was her dread. She feared the idea of 'Beauty' being torn away from her and Bonding with another, even if it was Zaniel or Sathran, although she was beginning to be convinced that he would be Bonding with the light tan chirr. Of course she would be happy for Zaniel if she was the one to Bond with 'Beauty', but...She would feel almost broken, for in the few hours she had spent with the chirr, she had become firmly attached to the chirr. With such morbid thoughts in her mind, she watched as Zaniel and the chirr played.

((Very sorry for power-playing, as always. Oh, and FYI, I'm pretty sure the Bonding will be taking place tomorrow. Liz (Tazki/Redevance) told me she'd be away Wednesday and Thursday, so the Bonding would be on Tuesday or Friday. As you can probably tell, it wasn't on Tuesday, so it's probably on Friday unless something happens. (And just a random note- I dun know anything about what happens during the Bonding. Only when it is.) Thought you might want to know! : D))
