Well, what substains our soul? What is it made out of? Where does it go? etc. It's questions like that I would desire to know and understand because I just start believing. I think people dream up souls, god, heaven, etc. because they're terrified of their own mortality.

That doesn't should too all power to me. So he enslaves our consciousness postmortem? Lovely.

Let's say you're getting brutally mugged and beat down in a back alley, and the cops *are* watching, but refuse to intervene. Should they still have the badge? That's how I look at it.

What about good hearted atheists who are sencere in their empathy and benevolence yet don't believe in gods?
