Subject: I'm so sorry I haven't been on!

Sorry I haven't been on much. Last week wasn't very good. I'm an officer for FFA, and we were supposed to have a banquet the 3rd. We had been practicing after school, then on Thursday morning there was a car accident. The one girl, Stacy, died, and she was our FFA president, and she lived near me and worked at the barn where I have my horse and I've known her since I was in kindergarten. She was only 18!!! One of my good friends was in the other car that recked. The funeral was monday. I had expected her body to be all cut up and everything, but you couldn't see a single scratch on her. She looked so pretty and perfectly normal. She just didn't look dead. Found out something new tho. The news reports said she died instantly, but that isn't true. She didn't live for too long after it, but she didn't die instantly. First, she called her boyfriend on the CB in her truck and said 'I just recked and I need your help' And her lil sister said as soon as the truck stopped moving, Stacy reached over and held her hand. Amazingly enough, Bobby(Stacy's lil sis) doesn't even have a broken bone! Nobody can see how, because the truck was COMPLETELY smashed. My friend is ok, just a few scratches and bruises, and her bro is improving, he got out of the hospital sunday night so he could go to the funeral. So, as I said before, life is pretty sucky right now. And to top it all off Thursday I'm going to a public speaking competition, and if i place in the top 3 again, I go to the state competition. Now that part is good, but now I have a cold and a sore throat and I sound funny.

Went to the public speaking competition and placed 3rd! I'm goin to penn state! Finally, things are gettin better

that's horrible! I completely forgive you for not being on... one of my friends died, and i can't forget it. I was so sad, and still am.
That's great that you got third on the speaking competition... I'm not good at that kind of thing. I hope that you do well!

Thanks, I hope I do well too! I hadn't thought I was good at public speaking either, but my ag. teacher thought different, and I guess he was right! Aw, I'm sorry that your friend died. I guess you never really forget thos kindsa things.
