Subject: Job

I am officially on the MSU payroll now. I got a job helping a grad student sort water bugs out from samples of gravel taken from a river in California. I guess you could call me an aquatic ecosystem related entomological technician; yeah, lets call it that. Anyway, it's needed income and good experience that will look awesome on a resume.
One thing I realized yesterday in the middle of class was that I will truely never use the stuff I was being taught in there. I'm going into fisheries, and this is a wildlife oriented class with wildlife population and information based equations and methods, which are TOTALLY different from those used in fisheries. But for some reason I have to take it. I can sorta see how chemistry and calculus could apply to my major in a few instances, but this class will not help me at all....AT ALL! Grrrr. And, I have a big exam in there Wednesday. Life is wonderful.
