History: Her mother was Absatz's Dianara, a daughter of Absatz, who placed second in the Olympics. Dianara placed first in the Nationals, but bowed a tendon and could no longer compete, and so was retired to broodmare. Danza's father was a two-time Olympic eventing champion, Regardez, in whose veins ran the blood of Rubenstein and Fruehling. When Dianara and Regardez were bred, the owners of the soon-to-be filly were ecstatic, her blood is the bluest of the blue. However, they were in for a surprise. Dianara, agitated and upset with being retired and being unable to jump or enjoy the show ring, flew over the seven-foot fence and ran off in the late months of pregnancy, to the extreme dismay of her "owners." Miraculously, the foal, who was registered before birth as Regardanza Copper, survived the strenuous jump, and grew up wild, never knowing the restrain of saddle or bridle. Her "owners" still search for Regardanza, having caught Dianara, and finding the tracks of the now-yearling filly. Danza, though certainly not her show-horse mother, is still very flashy and loves the limelight. She is prone to agitation, and can sometimes become hysterical, she's very high-strung.
