Brown head tilts slightly to the side before answering, dark gaze contemplating the inquisitive, though altogether fidgety woman, if not actually in movements, obviously in attention, or thoughts of some kind.
"No, I had planned on heading for the Hall, and still do hopefully, but I was told my shield power would not last the distance, and that I should stop here to rest and recharge the power pack. Apparently this is halfway, so if I can pack an extra charge into it this time, I might be able to make it all the way to the door next time."

He smirks slightly at the floor, face thoughtfully blank as he considers his shield, hand rising to brush through his soaked hair once more in a feeble attempt to dry it..
