Footsteps, quiet and wary, tick slowly down the tiled hall; rough sand worn boots remaining almost silent as the woman edges twoard the prisoner's room, stance defensive, back protected by the wall sliding along behind her. Her breathing slows as she nears a corner, pausing at the edge, listening, as she readjusts a hold on her phaser. Sounds tease her ears, quiet and unfamiliar, a soft padding and rough, somewhat mechanical air rush, like that of a machine vent, or respirator. But what was not an issue..quite yet.. the distance was far enough.
Swinging abruptly around the corner, her slitted gaze alights upon the strange scene before her, the reptillian figure scuttling rapidly across the polished floor, the prisoner fastened to his back in addition to a series of tubes and tanks, and a mask over the face itself.
Her wrist flicks, sending a blast directly in front the slithering creature, blackening the tile before it, a warning..

(ooc: grr..it stinks..I dislike this post greatly..but ooh well..at least I got around to writing one.)
