The shuttle Veridium sets down in a docking bay, s-foils folding gracefully.
The red-head, Mara Jade, enters her master's quarters at his command, and kneels. "My lord, we have arrived at Tanari. What are your next orders?" she asks in a quiet tone that, although respectful, yields untamed fire. Palpatine, standing before his servant, shrouded in black robes, smiles a decrepid smile. "Well done, Mara. I will send two guards to escort you."
Mara sends a bitter glance at the two red-armored, Roya Guards indicated. "With all due respect, my lord, she's nothing more than a child. I shall not require--" the old man stops her protest with a wave of his hand, "Never the less, they shall escort you just the same." He studies his servant with a curious eye. "I wonder if your feelings are quite clear on this matter, Jade. You seem complacent." Mara, gritting her teeth slightly, shakes her head, "No, my lord. Not complacent." Palpatine nods, "Very well. You may go."
Mara stands, quickly hiding the indignation in her eyes, as she departs, the two Royal guards following close behind her.
