The quick movement catches his attention, and he changes direction quickly, only then bothering to glance at the shadows. Teeth are bared in a snarl as he realizes that spot had indeed been a pursuer. The turn of his head exposes a tube on his gas exchanger, the dagger slicing it with a neat 'snick' as he inhales. Burning oxygen floods his lungs, searing the delicate tissues as the dagger clatters to the floor. Reeling forward, he gags, trying not to breathe in more oxygen.

A shudder twists his figure, the fiery pain of his lungs eclipsing everything else. Weakinging, the reptilian bounty hunter staggers, slumping against the cool hull of his ship. As the proximity sensors on his ship open the door, his sides ripple with the effort not to breathe, his eyes beginning to glaze from the effort and the pain. Sliding down the hull, a strap catches on the open frame of the door, tugging him just enough for him to sprawl, hovering on unconscious, on the floor inside his ship.

The hatch closes neatly, sealing him off from the poisonous atmosphere. CO2 floods the ship, and unable to hold his breath any longer, he gasps -not expecting to receive breathable gas. Convulsed by coughing, he drags the life-saving gas into his tortured lungs. Movements still slow and weak he remembers the prisoner on his back, and the fact that humans could not breathe CO2 long and still live. Fortunately, the bounty cells in the ship's hold were not far. Unstrapping the prisoner unsteadily, Azahr allows him to fall to the floor, and drags him slowly to an airtight cell.

Keeping a clawed hand on the wall to steady himself, the bounty hunter shoves his catch inside, digits tapping out the combination that would lock the door. Oxygen rushes into the human's cell, the clear walls allowing Azahr to see eveything that went on inside.

Growing steadily stronger, he still pauses to cough every few steps, but makes his way to the cockpit, stopping at the medicine closet concealed in a nearby bulkhead. Pulling out one bottle, he drinks the contents, the thick liquid providing an anesthetic to his throat. A syringe is also found, containing medication that would speed the healing of his injured lungs. Settling himself in the pilot's chair, he turns on outside speakers, his voice rasping harshly from inhaling the oxygen. Despite this, his tone is menacing and cold as he speaks. "I will remember you human. Your scent, your voice and your appearance were burned into my memory from the gas you call oxygen. Watch your back carefully if you want to keep your life."

The speakers click off, the engines starting. Soon, the odd looking vessel lifts into the sky, streaking toward Venhydra.
