With all the money Robbo has spent on players we should have been in Europe two years ago. Anywhere else and he'd have been out on his ear long ago. As for the Wembley performances - we were clueless - I'm afraid I couldn't see any strategy at all. So, for me, McLaren's first job is to clear out all the dead-wood, a legacy left by Robbo and Anderson. Robbo and Anderson were very well paid during their tenure - but failed to produce results. Middlesbrough has always been too forgiving - not ruthless enough with mediocre management and players - hence no trophies.
