He was there last night, while the cops beat and gassed people in the streets. He said he did not support the protesters actions basically, while he was supportive of there beliefs. He certainly was supportive of the situation when he took part in the chicago protest in 1968, which the police reacted in a similar way. The police by the way, have not been showing restraint. There have been only a small number of people reacting violently, while the police have been responding by acting violently to larger numbers, which has of course has evoked the wrath of a larger number of members of the crowd. I have been watching this thing quiet closely fate, and the number of picture I see of the cops beating people who are already immobile is ridiculous.
