My Mom isn't a dispatcher either.... As the Communications coordinator, she handles all Cellular Phone's and Pagers for the Sherrifs, Deputies, Detectives...etc...etc...etc... She takes care of setting up the accounts, services, trouble shooting problems, turning on the phones and pagers, the bills, proposals from Cellular companies... and what not... its a cool job, I got a free cell phone... *L* and so did she... but the people she works for suck...
