yes the media is influencing it a lot, fact is no matter what people want too think, if they had simply done it legally instead of they way it was handled, more than likely no one would be in trouble, do you think those cops want to be there? Hell no they don't they'd rather be home in bed, but someone has to stand up for the rights of the other 99% of the Seattle population that would like to know if they go out their car won't get destroyed or their store looted, or their windows broken, of being hit with a rock, everyone is SOOOO concerned with the rights of the protestors but ignoring the rights of the people whos rights the protestors are trampling on. It's not the first time a city has implemented a curfew to try to curb violence, its simple in the daytime the Police and National Guard can have more effect because they can see, at nite, they dont have that luxury so they can be amushed at nite and never see it. If they tried to discourage protests then I think whats happening now is just even MORE reason for cities to try to discourage protests, no city should have to deal with that, they've got enough to worry about without aslo having to deal with idiots like that
