Actually the song has a deeper meaning... I have no children... but one day when I have kids, I will not be what my father was... I will not spend my childs birth in Prison.. nor all the important years doing drugs and spending time in and out of Jail... the song to me is about my childhood... and Steve I don't see Jesus dying on the cross as walking away from us... in no way did he do that... he saved us from our sins....
