Subject: Sony Shutdown problem fixed but now I have another problem

I have a Sony Vaio F290!
I load a NON SONY VAIO version of 98!
After bringing it into safe mode, I go to Control Panel->System->Device Manager->System devices
Right click and select Properties:
-- Advanced Power Management support
-- Intel 83271EB Power Management Controller
For both I go to the bottom of the panel and toggle the "Disable in this hardware profile". After that, I restart my computer and it never shuts down again. But now I have the problem, that the computer (indifferent with which player) won't play DVDs any more. (once I have the problem, that there is no sound, then I have no picture or it runs only with jerks). I can't find a solution. I changed all drivers to the latest version and so on, but the problem is still there.
Who can help me???
