Subject: Donald Little Cops A Plea

Our good friend Donald Little was back in court today, along with yours truely. Let me tell you what a waste of time going to court to watch the Donald saga is. You get their at 9:00, and wait until 11:30 for the judge to come out. You can see the prosecutor and Little's lawyer dealing all the while. They had over 10 separate conference in the hall. At one point, the prosecutor remarked that the case would either be settled or continued today, but their would be no trial. You would think after all these months someone would have the balls to say either take the deal or have the trial. I don't know how many continuances they are allowed to have, but putting this thing off was still an option going into today.

I think that has to wear on the prosecutor after awhile, human nature just dictates that you give a bit and be done with it. Donald copped a pretty good plea. He will be sentenced in December. He pled to a 4th degree felony of aggrivated assault. He will get anywhere from 1 to 18 months according to the judge. He can also be fined from $1 to $5000, have his licence suspended from 6 months to 5 years, and be on probation for awhile.

Had he not copped the plea, he was looking at substantially more time, and all the evidence was against him. One of his partners in this crime did not show up at the trial, for he is being held in jail in Charlotte, NC, for a separate offense. Birds of a feather. I laughed when that came out, and that drew dirty looks from the other people attending the trial. Screw them, and their little felon. Donald Little is a violent criminal. I also made the mistake of wearing my Xavier cap to the trial. Everyone else is in a suit, and one guy is in sweats and a Xavier cap, laughing. WOO HOO! Fuck you Donald, I hope you get fucked up the ass in the big house.

Donald told us that once the truth came out, he would be vindicated, or something to that effect. Well, Donald, you are a loser that is going to jail. He said he would be back in black playing for the Cats, and Mike OfCoursey wrote to that effect in the Sporting News. Donald was at the Bearcat Basketball banquet over the summer. He worked Bob Huggin's basketball league, and was basically hanging around campus all summer. He was even showing recruits around the town. What a nice image to let a violent criminal show your son around the town. I can't believe they never distanced themselves from this clown. If Donald Little and his UC frontman lawyer could have worked a deal down to a misdemeanor, Donald would be playing for the Bearcats this year.

Also amusing was when the trial judge asked Donald if he could read the documents he was signing. Though a UC Graduate, any smart judge can never be too sure. It was classic.

Pablo, I think those UC guys might not be wearing their "I Support Donald" T-shirts anymore. I was wondering if I could get one myself. It would be a great shirt to go to the games in.

So just one week into practice, we have our first UC Bearcat felony. Maybe this just is the dream season that we have all been waiting for.
