VoyForums Announcement: Programming and providing support for this service has been a labor of love since 1997. Subject: New Board Rules

Chatboard Rules & Guidelines
By the Cartel Staff. 10/17/2002

By posting to one of the Pablo J. Escobar Chatboards (Cartel Style or the XU/UC smack board), you agree to the following Rules:

1. Forum participants must not wear pants.

2. Posters must select a unique handle and use it for all posts.

3. There are recruiting prospects that read these boards. DO NOT BADMOUTH PLAYERS OR PROSPECTS until AFTER they sign. Only badmouth them if they do not pick Xavier.

4. We encourage posts violating NCAA recruiting rules! Please see the Penthouse Fourum for more reading. Discussion of high school bitches is permitted of course, but by actually contacting said bitches you could be mistaken as a representative for Xavier University or Hustler.

5. No airing of complaints against the Board Operators, or their decisions in moderating the forum. Airing of complaints against Board Operators of the increasingly FRENCH MM board - especially the Shadow - are encouraged. Email us and we will handle these issues in private and have the appropriate offenders wedgied.

6. No posting of advertisements or links for products, services, or other web sites not pertinent to XU Athletics. Especially anything to do with that stupid f'ing Longaberger basket cult. (except Porn).

7. No posting of advertisements or links for non-site items without authorization of the proprietors. (again, except Porn)

8. Illegal activity is encouraged. Copyright infringement (i.e., through posting of articles not intended for non-paying public; through posting copyrighted articles, excerpts, or stories as one�s own, et al.) is completely acceptable and will be tolerated. We are entitled to free shit and they can prosecute us if they find us (We could always have Gary defend us or we out him to his boss).

9. Obscene material or references are encouraged. Pofane/vulgar statements are expected and to be used as nouns, verbs, and adjectives.

10. No mindless flaming. Only good, clean wholesome flaming where someone loses an eye is acceptable. While dissenting opinions are certainly welcome and add to the character of the forums, posts whose purpose is solely to get a rise out of the forum participants are our God damn right as Americans.

11. Personal attacks, either in the forums or via email, are expected to be witty and bloody. Disagreements are inevitable on any discussion forum, but we expect you to keep things mean and pointless.

12. Blatant insults are subject to extended analysis and will be judged on a 10 point scale. You are held responsible for YOUR own actions and don't be a pussy. If you are attacked you must respond or you lose all cred. You are expected to get into name calling, insult other posters, or a public figures. You cannot disagree without attacking.

13. No long subject lines. If what you have to say takes more than a couple of words, put it in the MESSAGE box.

14. Please reproduce copy written material. Please use links to articles on other sites so we can get free stuff. This is especially true for sites that have subscription content for which users pay a fee to view. Also, before you link to an article in a forum, check the Headlines page to make sure it hasn't already been linked. Again, we are entitled to free stuff.

15. No private, unsolicited use of IP or email addresses found on this site. Narcing is strictly shadowesque. Additionally, soliciting personal information from board participants is the height of rudeness (except if they are hot). People will share what they want to share; the rest is their own business.

16. Requests for tickets, questions about hotels, etc., should be handled by scalpers only. The Ticket Exchange is available for via Chief Couch. We take no responsibility for exchanges that you choose to make there - and encourage you to wear three belts (just be careful with the Chief!)

17. Starting rumors in our forums intended to hurt others is strictly encouraged.

18. Spreading rumors in our forums (without tasteful boundaries) is heartily encouraged.

19. DO NOT POST IN ALL CAPS.

20. Anything "in-between" that could be considered disruptive to the board. The final decision on account termination is up to the Cartel.

Violation of any of these rules will result in posts being deleted. Repeated violations will result in revocation of posting privileges.

Also, please be aware that this site is dedicated to coverage of and discussion about the athletic programs associated with the Xavier University. As such, the vast majority of participants are Xavier fans who will probably not take kindly to negative opinions about the school or teams, no matter how well intentioned. Fans from other teams, both opponents and not, are certainly not welcome here, but we want to make sure you understand the atmosphere of the group and have set your expectations accordingly.

Treat the board operators with utmost respect. By posting on this board you agree to the above. If you violate the board rules, then you allow us to take action. WE DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE BEHAVIOR OF POSTERS ON THIS BOARD. We do the best we can to keep others in line with the above. Unused accounts may be deleted over time. 90% of our visitors do not post at all. Wide ranges of people visit this site, young and old. Conduct yourself in appropriately.
