Subject: Firebird v6 to a v8

Hey, i have never used this forum before but came upon it today. i do not know much about cares but i know enough. i was wondering if it is possible to put a LT1 in a 95 firebird? i currently have a 3.4 liter v6, but right now it has 173,500 miles on it, and i need to start planning a new motot and would like a v8. if it is possible how hard is it to do and what other parts do i need to swap? thanks, i do not think i will be back at this forum so if you do not mind could someone email me at robertdobbins@yahoo.com, thanks again.

yeah, i know the last two are 3rd generation f-body sites, but someone there may be able to help you more than me.

but i can say this: you will probably need a new transmission, new computer and new mounts. get an engine with the most parts on it that you can get, this will eliminate the headache of having to locate parts that probably arent being made any more.

I hope that someone still checks this forum out. I have a 96 firebird with a LT1 Camero motor in it. I have the wiring harness out of the Camero in the bird right now. But I have two boxes that do not have plugs. One is a SIR I think and the other is a Brake control module I think. I have no spark on my new LT1. I need help!!
