Subject: Pastures and Folklore from Tomball, TX

Speaking of pastures, there are other reasons why people end up in them.

In Tomball Texas, there is a long street that dead ends into Zion Avenue at a stop sign. The tale has it that the old farmer who owned the property opposite the side street looked out his window one Sunday and saw a car driving around in his pasture. Two old ladies, one of whom sas descended from one of the founding fathers of the city had been on their way to church. They made a mistake at the intersection and drove through the fence into the farmer's pasture, and when he spotted them they were driving aimlessly trying to find their way ut.

Don't know what it means, but it reminds me of the Chronicles of Avonlea.

George
