Hovercraft. The woman's cool, studious gaze skimms over the prospective models with intrest. Single person bikes, cargo trains, even large city transporters. She lingers wistfully over a few of the smaller, sleek pods but jerks herself away reluctantly to look at the desert types. Pods were for cities, and luxury items.. the Alliance couldn't afford an entire fleet..
Running a slender hand over the bodywork of one of the bikes, she questions the attendant briefly, wincing visably over the price and moving on to look at a smaller...and cheaper.. model.

In the end a deal is struck, a small fleet of the better bikes and two pairs of the protective carriers..built for a number of people and reinforced with shielding. Both carried weapons, but were of simple enough make and engineering to be fixable and relatively inexpensive.
"Charge it to the Alliance account. We may be calling up additional purchases before you depart."
She nodds her head politely to the attendant.. a rather squat creature with green skin, before stepping off to find Espy.
