I have hit a brick wall trying to locate my birth mother, Pearl Loretta Hughes (B c1923). She previously lived in Buffalo, NY and was the only child of Raymond V. and Edna (Steinagle) Hughes. I have never seen her in all of my 63 years and am hopeful that she might still be living as she was only about 20 years old when she gave birth to me. Because she had recently divorced my father before my birth, she placed me in an infant's home at the age of two weeks. Thankfully, my stepmother insisted that my father bring me home to be with my two older brothers at the age of 16 months. Since I will soon be making a trip to the Buffalo area, I am hopeful for some information from someone who might have knowledge of this family from the early 1920's to the 1960's.
