Along with Sludge as one the Board's former apologists , I would only offer one word of caution. I've liked what I have seen in Conoly and heard about Belin but I also understand that it takes time for any player to learn and fit into a system. If I've observed anything about John Dunne is that he is a teacher and very precise in running plays and what he expects.Obviously, that approach is beginning to pay dividends. Yet, very few learn and fit into a program overnight. There is definitely a transitional learning period. Hope it's a short one next year.

On the same topic I'm very happy and impressed that Shumate attends every game and almost every practice (as an observer). It tells me that the desire to play is there and that he is trying to learn and grasp exactly what the staff is trying to do. Impressive.

All this means nothing (verbals) until the kids sign on the dotted line in April.
