The current methodology for selecting NCAA and NIT teams almost assures only one MAAC club will make the NCAA's.
A stronger schedule may help Coach Dunne with recruiting.
Once every decade or so, a better schedule may make a tiny bit of difference about whether or not a top division SPC club, losing in the MAAC tourney, makes the NIT.
However, realistically, for SPC and the rest of the MAAC....for Tourney purposes....it's about winning three March games in Albany (or Bridgeport, Trenton, etc.)
I'd like to see a few games against Top 50-100 competition scheduled, too....will help the club improve and winning once in a while against that caliber is not impossible.

Improving the scedule requires courage and intelligence..Not sure our coach and AD have either, By intelligence I mean understanding a better schedule helps in recruiting and helps getting selected. I would drop Monmouth,FDU and NJIT aand replace with teams like Syracuse,Butler and Gonzaga. We need to be agressive and fearless.
