Subject: An interesting note Kyrie Sutton

Published June 5th on Scout. Kyrie Sutton "Coach Ruth Lovelace told us that he would visit St Peter’s and then Fordham. A decision could be made after even one visit if he feels it is the right place. This could happen as early as next week."

Now there are many higher profile schools talking about this kid. Yet the coach says he can chose right away without completing other visits and SPC and Fordham are the first visits. Two things in our favor. We are closer to Brooklyn than Fordham and family will have an easier time attending games. We already have a teammate in Cyril Reid. Could play in our favor. Of course Fordham plays in the higher profile conference, but a conference that doesn't offer fantastic advantages. The coaches are a wash, with Wittenburg having more years of incompetence than Dunne, and he did it with higher profile players.

Many might ask why SPC for him. First none of the face promises he will see at the other schools. Even Fordham has commitments for others like Gaston. He has to fight for a spot at virtually every other school. At SPC he is virtually guaranteed substantial playing time and almost a lock to start.

I agree that we could be ideal spot for him if indeed we have a slot available . He could be big-time performer in the MAAC. Oh well, we can at least hope for a few days or weeks. Thanks for the post.
