"What is it Sir?",Byte asked. He was standing on the bridge of a decommissioned Repliforce Space cruiser. It was one of the many survivors Doppler had kept from his conflict with Sigma in space.* (*See Archives.)
"Remember our arms dealer friend?", the holographic ghost of Doppler asked. It was a small image, only half a meter high.
"Yeah, the Grizzly? What about him?"
"I've extended his contract with us.", Doppler told him.
"Oh yeah? What for?", Byte again asked.
"Well, it seems like he'll join any cause for the right price. I figure, we can use any help we can get, so I sent him up to you guys in a shuttle packed with goods. When he gets there, I want him put to work immediately."
"What should we do with him?", Byte asked.
"Well, I'm anticipating that by now, the Maverick Hunters have taken notice of our little 'freind' on the moon. Most likely, they'll be interferring in my plans yet again."
"Go on.", Byte offered.
"Give him a squad of troops, and some weapons. Tell him to take out any of the Hunters who gets in his way. That will keep him out of your hair, and it will keep the Hunters off our back!"
"Good thinking sir. When he gets here, I'll put him right on it.",Byte told him. (to be continued)
