Hey Peoples, I'm back after a long chaotic period away. I'd like to recharge my fallen story. First, I want to summarize where everyone is though. This will provide clarity for all. I encourage anyone who reads the thread, and who knows anything, or wishes to add whatever I left out, that information is welcome.
Mega Man X: Inside Doppler's underground Island base, trapped in a fight with Vile.
Zero: Attacking the Moon base of an enemy he knows nothing about. Scheduled to meet Slash Grizzly in combat, unless he already has.
IO: Placed in a suspended state of animation. IO rests inside his "crystal cocoon" until such time as he is needed. He resides in the very core of Doppler's command center, and waits for a signal from X to destroy the control room, preferably with Dr. Doppler inside it.
BR & RX: These two warriors are fighting inside the moon base. Their objective is to destroy a hidden power core which supplies Dr. Wily's Umtimate beam weapon with power. If they cripple, or destroy it, it will mean a blow to Wily's forces.
Dr. Doppler, Bit, Byte: Engaged in Different parts of a 3-way campaign against the Maverick Hunters, and Mavericks that were once loyal to Sigma, which are now under Dr. Wily's control.
Sigma: Newly reanimated (from his last in-story death, in space, at the hands of Vile,) Sigma has had his first engagement in the combat on the moon, and has taken some minor damage. At present, he is being repaired, but has not revealled himself to Mega Man X, or Zero yet. (As this is the period between X4 & X5...still, we must conclude that they do not see him until the X5 story picks up.)
Note: I think that we have all lost interest in the story for one reason or another. I would love to know the story behind the long anticipated Mega Man X7, and why Zero is now out of his sleeping chamber. Perhaps the game will shed some light on it? Maybe it happens before Zero jumps in the tube?
Anyway, it might be good to wrap the story up soon?! It is kind of challenging, being constrained in the time period between X4 and 5. However, this story started before X5 came out, so it is amazing to think it has been going (on and off) for that long! And so far, we seem like we're only half way through. We still have the last stand on Doppler's island against the 8 "boss" Reploids. Not to mention a possible conflict with Bit, and/or Byte, (If they ever return from space!) Not to mention the last battle with Dr. Doppler, who we can't kill off, since we don't know if he will ever return again in the X series officially. Just thought it would be nice to set things in their proper perspective. I'm going to focus on Mega Man X's activities, but the time line can't go on for too long. Ryujin had the idea to have RX, and BR come back from the moon, and attack the forces which went up against the Hunter base. Then, he wanted to have the whole lot of characters to end up on the island, and have a grand finale, which I discussed earlier.
It seems like we have alot of loose ends to tie up...so, I have an idea. This next post will make it so that the moon base battle can end, and then the other characters can catch up with X later. Enjoy!
