The stallion nodds briefly and examines the small wound. The swelling had gone down, but he crushes a few leaves of Witch Hazel, rubbing it into the wound to help with the swelling. He also rubbs a small stalk of henna into it, a plant known to help bites or stings.
Finished with the wound itself, he turns back to the colt.
"You were correct to bathe it, but to keep the swelling down, you should eat some watercress and basil, which will also help to disinfect the wound. Luckily the bite is not deep, and snakebites are rarely fatal to horses. Expect a little pain and swelling for a few days, but after that, it should clear up"
