Subject: female longhaired dachshund

Had londhaired dachshunds from the age of 13 to after 40. At times I had a pair. Am a teacher in Maine. Have lots of mowed open fields to run. Am looking for a female londhaired to rescue. I don't care what age it is. Present owners are welcome to continue to visit. I would pay expenses to get the dog. I could go out and buy one but I want to rescue one that an owner is no longer able to care for. I can't imagine giving up a dog you have fallen in love with but if one knows the dog will be loved again it might be easier
