Reply:
I have a Dachshund myself.
Any breed of dog will show this aggression.
Dogs should not be picked up in held all the time
it not good for the dog, In a way you are taking away
it's freedom to be it's self.
So the dog will be defensive.
Teach your children to have respect for there dog.
As for the Dachshund doing things you feel the dog should
not do and then growls when you try to stop the Dachshund,
Again it would happen with any dog.
You could take the dog for training if you feel it is a real
problem.
Hope this was some help.
Dachshund's are a great dogs, Loving and Loyal, give you dog
alot of love,And let you kids respect the dog,And not treat
the animal like a toy, Your kids are more than likely the
problem.
