I got a bit resentful of Dogsbreath when it did seem like he was trying to muscle in on Scully but I don't think it was in a romantic way either. Rather in the protective way. I also resented him because he couldn't understand why Mulder left his woman and then woman and child. It was clea r that he was dirty on Mulder because he deliberately did this when Doggy would have given anything to have his own family back. I didn't like Doggy's attitude toward Mulder or what I perceived as his attitude about Mulder because I couldn't understand why he left them either and I too was dirty on Mulder and didn't want to be.

I'm a proponent ofMulder and Scully having the baby and then leaving the show altogether [if not earlier at the end of S7] and letting Dog and Mon carry on alone. I grew attached to Mon and Dog and was looking forward to a more open acknowledged romance/relationship between them than the drawn out, in-denial, frustrating relationship of the previous 7/8/9 yrs between Mulder and Scully. Unlike some poeple, I liked the fact that they had the baby. Cc was determined to have the show continue and so it had to move forward somehow. It was either have an alienesque baby and a quest to find the abducted Mulder or an Islandgirlesqe white wedding. I do think that once that baby was born, Mulder and Scully's days should definitely have been over. Let us keep wondering about the kid and let Mon and Dog get into the XF stories and bring the show full circle but on a different tangent. I thought it had a chance to be refreshed- a new show and yet not a new show. I thought it had a chance. I would have kept watching [in hindsight especially]. Not in obsesssed fashion like before but I still would have watched. I was really starting to warm to Doggydoodle and Sunshine. What about the movie? Any whispers? If they wait too long the budget will be too high having to hire all the prosthethes[sp] and walking frames.
