Subject: TV Guide lists "The X-Files" in the all-time top 50

The current issue of TV Guide lists their pick for the top 50 shows of all time. "The X-Files" is listed at 37th. The little blurb says something like. . . "the show's eerieness, combined with the undercurrent of sensuality between FBI Agents Mulder (David Duchonvy) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) is what earned it a spot on the list". Since their is no mention of Agent Doggett (Robert Patrick) I get the feeling the TV Guide folks don't think he added much to the show. Generally speaking, most critics (and most fans, to judge by the show's current ranking in the Nielsen ratings) seem to share my opinion that the show has dragged on at least one season too long. I think XF might have ranked even higher if it was already off the air, rather than still producing new eps.
For the other shows, I thought some of their choices were a bit odd. For instance, I would have put M*A*S*H in the top 10 and they had it as 25th. And I would have put "Moonlighting" in there somwhere (certainly ahead of "Bewitched" which was 50th) but, unless I just missed it while scanning the magazine at the supermarket check-out counter, it wasn't in there at all.
