how very cool, to get to go to New Zealand and Australia!! That's our "dream" vacation. My husband and I plan to go someday, but it will probably be *years* from now, when all the kids are grown, the mortgage is paid off, etc. Were you on business there, do you have friends there or was it simply a vacation?
The furthest west I've been in the U.S. Las Vegas. I've also been to Edmonton and Peace River in Alberta, Canada, which are probably a little further west. I took a "45-minute tour" of New York City once. It was another visit, years ago, to my husband's relatives in New Jersey. (Actually, he was my fiance at the time and we'd gone up for his grandparents Golden Anniversary.)I wanted to say I'd been to New York City, so we left early for the airport and took a quick drive through NYC. I bought a pretzel from one of those street vendor guys, stuck my nose in St. Patrick's Cathedral and set foot in (literally; I just stuck my foot in) Central Park. I'd love to go back again someday for a real visit, but at least I can say I've been! Have you ever been to Texas?? We have lots of cool stuff here!
