a literature lifeline, considering he was well on his way to getting a Ph.D in English before he became an actor! I don't think he particularly needs to "redeem" himself from his last peformance, though. He was the first celeb to get into the hotseat and got all the way up to the $125,000 question before blowing it. I also think that he didn't get as much "help" from the other celebs as those who came after him did.
