the movies should feature only Mulder and Scully, with maybe a bit of assistance from Skinner. *IF* Doggett and Reyes can inspire the same sort of viewer loyalty that Mulder and Scully did (like you, I believe it's highly unlikely, but who knows??) they can have the TV show for the next seven seasons and their own, separate series of XF novels, etc.
Trying to have a two-and-a-half-hour movie with five major characters (Mulder, Scully, Skinner, Doggett and Reyes) would be too confusing. As I said in my original post, for the movies to succeed they're going to *have* to pull in an audience that has only a nodding acquaintance with the TV show.
