Won't bore you with excuses as to why I haven't been around lately, except just to say that the past few months have been very stressful ones and my job was threatened up to about a week ago. Inevitably, this has led to lots of soul-searching and thinking about the future and I haven't felt all that 'chatty'. But things are better now, so at least I can have Christmas without the Shadow of Doom hanging over me.

All your comments are very interesting to me. Well done and thanks for telling me stuff *without* telling me. It's just what I wanted. I tend to trust what people here say/think because over the years, we've sort of sussed each other's likes and dislikes. I think it was always going to be a very peculiar thing, to keep this series going without its main star and after next season, maybe GA too will have gone. When that happens, C20th Fox might like to rename the series - 'The X Files: The Next Generation'?

There's a thought: any suggestions as to a new title that would reflect its total transformation from what's gone before to now?
