that the shows which I absolutely *must* see every week are
the ones with only two main characters, like XF and RS.
Ensemble shows - like CSI, JAG or Lou Grant - are often
very good, but I guess with so many different characters you don't feel like you "know" them quite as well as you do the ones with only two leads.
Hmm. . .it just occurred to me that Remington Steele had its own "mytharc" type stuff going on, too. . .all that stuff about Remington's real identity, etc. Maybe my two all-time faves are more similar than I realized!
