I *REALLY* hope that since DD is coming back, they will have the series finale be a classic
"Mulder-and-Scully alone together" X-File case. Having DD return just so Mulder can be in one scene per episode with Scully, while spending most of his time jumping off burning oil rigs or whatever with Doggett, is just a waste of his time and talent, IMHO.
Maybe they can do a couple of Scullylite (or completely Scullyless, for all I care) episodes in April
and early May to give GA a little downtime and wrap up anything they want to wrap up in re Doggett and Reyes. Then we could have a series finale that is heavy on the Mulder and Scully interaction, medium on the Skinner involvement and lite on the Doggett and Reyes appearances.
