G'day detoured!

ah, no you went to the eastern states, Perth's over in the west :P

Christmas island is above western australia, really close to jakarta, and its more well known (but not as pretty) sister islands are the cocos (keeling - traditional name) islands. CI is technically an independent territory of Australia, so it has its own little governing body (which has made for interesting conspiracies in my little world) add to this, the russians are going to launch satellites from it starting in 2003 (which personally I'm against - frightening the unique crab population migrations and whale sharks). 80% of the population is chinese or malay, as they were brought there a while ago to be used in the mines as slave labour (we treated them really bad). But now everythings okay and we all get along :) (woah, didn't mean to write that much!) oh and, we get quite a lot of the refugees in little boats landing there (usually Afghan and Iraqis)

um... yeah... bonzer... mate :P

yeah it was a search on google, which is the best engine I reckon.

Don't worry about Perth, you didn't miss out on much... its pretty and everything but basically the most boring out of our capital cities. :)
