Fun review you did Stardoe!

I don't know if Doggett is in love with Scully. Maybe. But he certainly has become quite attached to her. It was a weird role reversal with Mulder and Scully with Scully acting like she would miss the x-files much more than Mulder would. I was thinking that maybe now that she believes she's just finally getting into it.
Doggett is a nice guy but he needs to understand Scully's heart belongs to Mulder.

I think she was just hugging him because she knew he represented a very difficult time of her life (with no Mulder) and Doggett had been by her side and helped her get through it.

I really liked the scene with M&S in the autopsy bay too. Hearing Mulder tell Scully she had other concerns and imply that she had better take care of herself was good to hear. He definately was sounding rather possessive as if he was saying, "You know that's my baby too." But even if he didn't think that I think he would look out for her because he knows how important it is to her. I had mentioned the same thing about how he would react if he knew all the things she'd been doing in his absence. Especially going off alone and getting a slug stuck in her. I'm glad you said you didn't think she was taking care of herself. I know pregnant women pride themselves on being able to work right up to their due date but Scully was having a difficult pregnancy and should have been more careful and not run off willy nilly all the time. At least in the subway episode she had the good sense to refuse to go down into the tunnels.

I thought this was a good scary story too and
I liked the tribute to all of us fans. Giving us the Apollo 11 keychain was a very nice gesture! I usually like Frank Spotnitz's monster stories. He also wrote Detour and even had a reference to it here. :-)

I'm one of the few who wasn't crazy about the scene at the end with M&S talking about the snow scene in FTF. I thought it took us out of the story and was too much of an inside joke. But I know most people liked it so that's ok.

Im glad you might give the show a try next year Stardoe. I'm certainly not as interested in it without the Mulder-Scully dynamic but I'm curious about Doggett and how the heck Scully will fit in and how the absent Mulder will be explained. Fun idea about having an NP scene with D and R. Yeah, get it over with right off the bat! I agree that doing a sexual tension storyline with them would shadow the MSR and be wrong. I would like to learn that there is something mysterious in Reyes' past that we haven't learned yet. There needs to be something more to her background. Just having her and Doggett investigate MOTWs might get boring real fast, I'm afraid.

I'm not sure I know what Mulder's smile in the "Is this it?" scene really means! Maybe you coud tell me what it means to you to steer me in the right direction. ;-)
