Subject: Do you think there will ever actually be more XF movies??

I'm beginning to have my doubts that there will ever be any more X-Files movies. Am I being unduly pessimistic or do other people feel the same way?
I have several reasons for my doubts. For one, the normal timespan between movie sequels (i.e. James Bond movies, Jurassic Park movies, etc.) is three of four years. It's already been more than three years since the first XF movie was released and they haven't even started production on the second one. Even if they were to start production immediately after wrapping season nine of the TV series, the *earliest* the second XF movie could come out would be summer of 2003; a full five years after "The X-Files Movie: Fight the Future" was released.
Another reason I have my doubts are some of the comments I've read from GA and CC over the past few months. GA seems, quite frankly, tired of playing Scully and very anxious to "move on" as soon as this season is over. Given this attitude (which I don't entirely blame her for) I can't see her signing on to begin filming a second XF movie as soon as she's wrapped up season nine of the TV show. CC seems intent on proving that he's not a one-hit wonder and/or that the success of XF has had more to do with him than with DD and/or GA. He seems more interested in either continuing to produce XF as a TV show without either GA or DD or in doing some sort of totally different, non-XF-related movie or TV show, than in continuing the XF movie franchise.
Strangely enough, DD seems the only one of the trio who continues to express enthusiasm at the idea of Mulder and Scully living on in movies.
