Why the slowdown on releasing eps on video?

I began watching XF about midway through season four and that summer, between seasons four and five, I was able to "catch up" most of the XF lore by watching eps from seasons one through three on video. The complete seasons weren't available but a lot of two ep tapes (like "Squeeze/Tooms" and "Pusher/Irressistible", plus most of they mytharc eps through the end of season three) were available to rent or purchase.
What's happened?? They released a lot of the season four eps on video, plus they now have the complete seasons one through three available on DVD and as tapes, but to the best of my knowledge, none of the eps from season five and beyond have been released on video.
If they had season three eps available on tapes by the time season four was over, why is that at the end of season eight we still don't have season five and six tapes available for rent or purchase?? Or is it that these tapes are available but, for whatever reason, the video stores in the relatively small city where I live have chosen not to stock them??
I have a lot of my season five, six and seven faves on tapes I made off the TV, but I'd really like to have eps like "Redux I and II" and "Triangle" on commercial-free tapes.
