I watched my Mulder shows from S8 these past few days and the one where Scully has the baby was more enlightening for me.

When Lizzy was captured and telling Mulder etc about William and why he was special...... I have only ever heard the bit where she says one could only hope to ever create that in a lab. And that he was a human child with no human frailties. BUT.... I can't see why I have missed this on previous watchings but I was totally surprised to hear her say that William was the totally organic version of a super soldier. Previously I could never work out why he was so special and what exactly had been created outside the lab that they had wanted to create in it. I'd missed it. I'd also missed Krycek's explanation of the part the neck chip had played in making Scully pregnant. [with no ova by the way. Maybe they left a few to be sent out by the chip once they ascertained she and Mulder were doing it.]I guess I have not watched the ep enough.

I must be dumber than I thought. How did I miss all of this? Anyway this info makes me want the new movie even more even though they have said it won't be a myth.
