.....the twins are identical. They were implanted into two different mothers afer IVF. Their father who was the angry man in gaol donated his sperm. So by this I assume that it is possible for the fertilised egg to totally split and then the two seperated embryos are implanted into different mothers. This is the only way this could happen. But not being knowledgeable about this, I thought that implantation took place at a much earlier stage in the cell division process. Before actual twins would develop. That's what I am not clear on.

Otherwise this could very well happen and maybe it has. Here, in Oz it would be practically impossible to happen as usually all the embryos in the one petri dish are meant for just one person. They don't [I don't think] share them around. It is pretty stictly controlled. People usually have their own embyos that are left over , frozen in their own little compartment. But I guess if an egg did split into twins and one was implanted and born and the other frozen then its possible for parents to get identical twins born years apart. How weird would that be? And I also guess that in the donor situation....it would be possible for one or more eggs to split into identical twins and each be given to different people. CC wasn't far off the mark. The concept is sound and very X Filey but the protrayal left alot to be decided.

As for that actress that alot of people hate. I am happy to say that I have seen her before but never seen her work before so I didn't have the preconceived bad impresson of her.
